Teachers, librarians, and even social service professionals have used Stuart's approaches to literacy in their work. Whether through keynote presentations or hands on trainings, Stuart teaches storytelling, oral history, and writing strategies that improve student learning and reading comprehension. Stuart's presentations are humorous, insightful, and grounded in real life stories. In addition, Stuart is a Kennedy Center Workshop Leader; some of his workshops were developed through his ongoing association with the Kennedy Center in Washington , DC .
