School Performances School Assemblies with Stuart Stotts are fun, participatory, educational and filled with positive messages. He includes stories and songs, as well as movement, humor and meaning. Stuart does many elementary school assemblies every year, on topics ranging from the environment to multi-cultural understanding. Children and adults come away feeling good. One third grader said, "This is better than recess!" Teachers and principals respond with similar enthusiasm, to the messages, the humor and to the attentiveness and involvement of the students. However, unlike many performers, Stuart also likes to work with middle schoolers, as well as high school students. He finds that a combination of stories and humor opens doors to the imagination of kids who might otherwise be dismissed as merely cynical, or typically adolescent. As one middle school student wrote afterward, "I thought you would be boring, but you ROCK!" SO MANY WAYS TO BE SMART - A celebration of reading, writing, math, creativity and relating to others. This program draws on the ideas of multiple intelligences and inspires kids to learn and think about how they learn. Depending on the age of the audience, there are songs like Jennifer Montgomery, I know Math ,Dog in School, Mi Cuerpo and stories of frogs, locusts and oonkaloonka fish. The title song rounds it all out. There is also plenty of laughter and audience participation. Guaranteed to please kids and adults.
