Are We There Yet?
We're going on vacation, the house is all locked
My family's in the car, now we're halfway down the block.
My mom says, "I'm sure there's something that we did forget."
My sister Anna says, "Are we there yet?"
Are we there yet NO Are we there yet NO
How much further do we have to go?
Are we there yet NO Are we there yet NO
How much further do we have to go?
Anna falls asleep, leaning on me.
I notice that she's drooling all over my knee
and gouging my arm with the edge of her barrette.
I look at my dad, "Are we there yet?" (Chorus)
Me and my sisters, we like to sing along.
99 bottles of beer on the wall is one of our favorite songs.
By the time we get to 48 my dad is so upset.
He looks at my mom, "Virginia, are we there yet?" (Chorus)
I want to stop at the wax museum
and the souvenir store.
And forty miles up, I can't wait to see 'em
they've got real live dinosaurs
and I never did see that before.
Somewhere in the middle of Ohio
my sister Nancy says that she's really gotta go.
If we don't stop soon someone's gonna get wet.
My whole family shouts, "Are we there yet?" (Chorus)
If you're listening to this tape and driving in your car
and you think that you've already gone pretty far.
As soon as you get to the end of the cassette
don't forget to ask, "Are we there yet?" (Chorus)
