I’ve Got the Right to Feel Safe.
I’ve got the right to feel safe
Anytime anyplace
Anywhere, any day
I’ve got the right to feel safe.
I’ve got the right to feel safe.
When I’m on a swing set
And I swing up real high
I’m way above the clouds
Almost in the sky
I like that scary feeling
When I’m at the top
But if I feel too frightened
I can always stop.
In the pit of my stomach
or right inside my heart
There’s a feeling that I get
when something scary starts
I’m learning to pay attention
when that comes along
it might mean that I’m a little scared
or that something’s really wrong.
when something scary’s happening
that I don’t like at all
there are people that I trust.
I’ll give them a call.
I’ll just keep on telling
all my trusted friends.
And I won’t stop my telling
Until I feel safe again.
